While moving through our specialized program, those recovering from substance abuse will experience growth through equine therapy, group hikes, and 12-step discussion, as well as through our highly effective parental participation activities, ie. parental workshops and family counseling sessions.

While much of the program is structured around therapeutic restoration, we would also like parents to know that Turning Winds is dedicated to academics. 

Turning Winds is accredited by two of the most recognized respected secondary academic accrediting bodies in the United States. We are fully accredited by Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). Our teen boarding school accepts children between the ages of 13 and 18. Turning Winds, a specialty private boarding school, can accept enrollment of approximately 45 students. The entire program averages approximately 12 months.
