Turning Winds Academic Institute specializes in three distinct areas: Behavior modification, emotional stability, and academic achievement. We attribute our tremendous success in working with teens during the past decade on the focused work that has been done in these three areas

Through our Integrated Therapeutic Curriculum our highly resourceful professional staff is qualified to help all teens, which allows them to think quickly and act appropriately in any given situation. While many girls and boys boarding schools have hundreds of students, we accept up to 50 students at a time to ensure each child receives the individual treatment needed for success. Because we are a small program it is easy for us to focus on each individual child, rather than the group as a whole, to prevent our students from "slipping through the crack."

Here at Turning Winds Academic Institute we understand that there are many reasons each of our students come to us. We can help almost any teen who exhibits any of the following behaviors: angry and defiant, failing in school, rebellious, impulsive, running away, substance abuse, low self-esteem, negative peer group, distant from family and friends, laziness, bright but underachieving, ADD/ADHD, hyperactivity, poor family relationships, Bi-Polar, sexually acting out, manipulation, depression, weight problems, and learning difficulties.

At our co ed boarding schools we utilize individualized therapy with a licensed therapist, outdoor recreation, development of life skills, the teaching of appropriate social relationships, leadership development, field trips, which are conducive to learning, and a fully accredited academic institute, by , with a time tested individualized one-on-one teaching style. These services help our students to develop the character needed to succeed where they have failed in the past.
